Abstract

The article considers the use of a standard technique for calculating the repulsive force in a magnetic system for thick samarium-cobalt permanent high-coercivity magnets. With the use of the results of investigations, correction factors are introduced into the technique used to calculate the repulsive force in a magnetic system with thick magnets as a function of the magnitude of the air gap between the magnets. It is shown that the repulsive force of the north poles of permanent magnets differs from the repulsive forces of the south poles. The mean value of the repulsive force between the north and south poles of the magnets is determined in the course of calculating the repulsive force.
