Abstract

A new numerical method is suggested which, proceeding from a unitary algorithm and without using Abel's transformation, enables us to obtain the radial distribution of the absorption and emission coefficients from known values of the transparency and intensity at various cross sections of a plasma column. Two experimental and two hypothetical examples are calculated by this method. The accuracy of the method is ∼2–4%.
