Abstract

Single-screw pumps are widely used at enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, for example, in the food industry for pumping semi-viscous and viscous products, agriculture during drainage or irrigation of the territory. Hydraulic calculation of technological pipelines, which takes into account the characteristics of pumping equipment, is an important stage in the creation of food industry enterprises. In this article, the results of processing published experimental data are considered, according to which formulas for the dependence of the flow rate Q on the pressure drop ΔP for the studied single-screw pumps are obtained, and it is also revealed that this dependence is close to linear, as in plunger pumps. Experimental calculations made it possible to determine that the dependence of the flow rate Q on the rotor speed n is characterized by the volume of liquid pumped per revolution V1 and the initial rotor speed at which the movement of the liquid n0 begins. It is found that, in the general case, the values V1 and n0 depend on the pressure drop ΔP.
