Abstract

Proton spectra from the 24Mg(d,p) and 32S(d,p) reactions leading to unbound states of 25Mg and 33S and the total neutron cross section of 24Mg from 1.0 to 5.2 MeV have been measured. The ratio of the (d,p) strength and the total neutron cross section depends strongly on the orbital angular momentum of the unbound state. The l-values of 20 resonances are determined. The (d,n) reactions on 12,13,14C studied at 6.5 MeV and compared with (p,p o) reveal a similar l-dependence for proton resonances.
