Abstract
We consider a method of determining the kinetic coefficients of crystallization of high-purity substances from the temperature curves of the phase transition in long cylindrical crucibles. The method is appplicable to the determination of the kineticc coefficient at low crystallization rates. Formulas are derived for finding the kinetic coefficients and calculating their values for gallium, bismuth, zinc, antimony, and aluminum, using the available experimental data from the literature. These values are valid in the range of crystallization rates from 10−8 to 10−6 m/sec.
