Abstract

AbstractRosolic acid was found to exhibit an absorption maximum at 480 mμ which shifts toward longer wave‐lengths in alkaline solutions. Spectrophotometic observation on this absorption maximum was made, and the optical density vs pH curve was found to pass through a minimum at pH=5.98. By using Thamer and Vaigt's method, the author was able to evaluate the dissociation constants of rosolic acid.
