Abstract

We present an estimate of the dimension D=2 “operator” induced by large order perturbation theory using two different sum rules for the e + e − into I=1 hadrons total cross-section. We conclude that this “operator” can only affect the existing ϱ-meson spectral sum rules results and the τ-decay semi-inclusive process by an amount respectively less than 12% and 3.6%. This effect is consistent with the estimated perturbative error used previously in the determination of α s from τ-decay.
