Abstract

Analysis, in 10-day periods, of a 25-month series of observations of sunshine and radiation at Badjgah (29° 32 N 52° 35'E, alt. 1,810 m) a sunny, high-level site in Iran, showed that the ratio of the surface global radiation to the extra-terrestrial radiation could be expressed in the form 0.31 + 0.55 n/N, where n and N are the actual and maximum durations of daily sunshine hours, with a correlation of 0.91.
