Abstract

The possibility of using the reaction of fluoride ions and fluoride complexes with aluminum complexonate in the presence of an excess of complexone III was investigated for determining the concentration of silicon dioxide in crystal after rapid decomposition of the sample with a mixture of sodium fluoride and nitric acid in precisely measured quantities. A method was developed for determining the concentration of silicon dioxide in crystal by potentiometric titration with a fluoride-selective electrode.
