Abstract

The step current densities are used to determine the characteristic impedance of a transmission line with rectangular shape of the conductors. Numerical results for different rectangular lines with asymmetrical position of the inner conductor are presented. The comparison of the results for the square and rectangular coaxial lines shows quite good agreement with the known data.
