Abstract

•Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations can occur following Glenn procedures and can remain undetected at the time of Fontan completion. They may cause persistent hypoxemia. Agitated saline injection during transthoracic/transesophageal echocardiography into the venous system with immediate appearance of the agitated saline in the left heart within 3 cardiac cycles may be an easy, minimally invasive bedside diagnostic test for the condition.
