Abstract
The magnetic anisotropy can be characterized by an anisotropy field HA. A direct method to determine this field is given by the singular point detection, SPD, method. The physical basis of this method and its practical realization is explained and examples of the temperature dependence of HA for different R2Fe14B based alloys are presented.
