Abstract

Silver carbonate in silver oxide (Ag(2)O) is determined quantitatively by infrared spectroscopy. The deviation of the results from a mean line is +/-0.2% of Ag(2)CO(3) for samples containing only normal silver carbonate, and +/-0.4% of Ag(2)CO(3) for samples containing both normal and basic silver carbonate.
