Abstract
In this article the section shape is considered in the study of bending of sash sheet metal products. The problems of sash sheet metal bending procedures and the selection of bending tools cannot be separated: That is, the selection of bending tools must be considered in the determination of bending procedures. Complete sash sheet metal bending may involve several bending procedures. This paper is an attempt to find a reasonable bending model, and represent the relationship between two neighbouring bending points with a simple mathematical equation. In addition, by means of the collision detection procedure, one can check whether the workpiece collides with the tool so as to determine all reasonable bending procedures and tools suitable for such bending procedures.
