Abstract

An analytical method for obtaining the relative permeabilities of multiphase flows in porous media is presented. Porous media is modelled by a network of capillaries. The percolation and effective-medium models are used to calculate the network conductivity. Newtonian and plastic flow cases are considered. An application of the method to predict the efficiency of the polymer flooding is shown. The computed results are verified by means of experimental data.
