Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to investigate the rarefaction effects on thermal conductivity, viscosity, and density of Argon, Neon and Xenon gas flows in a Platinum nanochannel. Green–Kubo approach with Lenard Jones potential function are used for molecular dynamic simulation. Simulations showed that with decrease in number of atoms, density, viscosity and thermal conductivity decreases, while decrease in nanochannel width in same number of gas atoms leads to increase in viscosity and thermal conductivity.
