Abstract

One of the main problems of Turkish Forestry is the insufficient relations between forest and villagers. It is possible to overcome this problem to develop forest villagers. The main purpose of this study is to determine the plan scale of the forest villages' development plans by using multi dimensional methods. Gümüshane where is the research center of this study, is an underdeveloped region, and it has a migration problem due to economic reasons. In order to stop this migration, The natural resources in and around Gümüshane must be evaluated. According to results obtained from discriminant analysis, planning made on the basis of towns is no longer valid. Because, there were no significant differences between towns investigated for this study.
