Abstract

The main physicochemical parameters of silicon isotopes separation process by chemical exchange method with thermal phase reversal in systems SiF4-SiF4 complex with aliphatic alcohols were determined by direct and indirect (calculated) ways. Experimentally, the single stage separation factor α were obtained using the single equilibration method, the height equivalent to a theoretical stage (HETS) was determinated after obtaining of steady state of exchange columns work with the length of 1 and 2.5 m accordingly. Indirectly, α and HETS values were calculated using the initial periods of exchange columns operation. The conclusion about the applicability of determination by indirect method of main parameters of exchange system without steady state obtaining of exchange column was done.
