Abstract

Nonlinear Photonic Crystal Fiber(HNPCF) which exhibits low losses and small effective mode area over a wide range of wavelength has been presented here. This highly nonlinear photonic crystal fibers which guide light into a small solid silica core surrounded by large air holes results in a strong confinement of the light and correspondingly a large nonlinear coefficient. Nonlinear effects when interacting with the higher order Soliton and consequence of this interconnected nonlinear response generate new frequencies which broadens the spectrum. Because of this unusual property and impressive property together with its coherence, generate the white light supercontinuum (SC). This paper describes about the different fiber parameters and changes in there behavior with wavelength and the effects of nonlinearities on Soliton which lead to supercontinuum.
