Abstract

The reliability of determining the permeability and porosity properties of oil and gas reservoirs depends on the informative value of the sets of petrophysical and geophysical well surveys and the efficiency of the methods for interpreting the obtained data. In order to determine the permeability from well logging data without using a correlation between permeability and porosity, the paper proposes the Kozeny–Carman equation, transformed on the basis of a petrophysical invariant (normalized effective porosity). The equation makes it possible to take into account the heterogeneity of the pore space of the intergranular reservoir with an appropriate petrophysical setting for the content of the main granulometric fractions.
