Abstract

Residual organics of ozonated soil and water fulvic acids were tested for mutagenicity in the Salmonella: mammalian-microsome assay. A highly ozonated soil fulvic acid extract induced His reversion in Salmonella typhimurium strain TA100 only and did not require metabolic activation for the weak mutagenic response observed.
