Abstract
Abstract An improved viscometer method has been applied to the determination of the magnetic susceptibility of a paramagnetic gas and found to be of use in the analysis of a paramagnetic gas mixed in a diamagnetic gas. The magnetic susceptibilities of oxygen and nitrogen monoxide have been determined to within ±0.5% using a saturated aqueous solution of sodium chloride as the working liquid.
