Abstract
A comparatively rapid paper chromatographic method has been developed for estimating lanthionine without prior oxidation to lanthionine S-oxide. The method is applicable to hydrolyzates of most proteins and estimates as little as 5 μmoles/gm with good precision and accuracy.
