Abstract

Energy-dependent in-medium nucleon-nucleon (NN) cross sections are obtained from the experimental data of proton-induced reaction cross sections. Total reaction cross sections of the proton-nucleus reaction reflect only the magnitude of NN cross sections around the incident beam energy. Therefore energy-dependent in-medium NN cross sections can be determined by reproducing proton-induced reaction cross sections for various target nuclei. Calculations of the reaction cross section are made by using antisymmetrized molecular dynamics. \textcopyright{} 1996 The American Physical Society.
