Abstract

Our experiments show that multilayer inductive shielding performs better than a monolayer shielding of equivalent thickness. We developed an analytic expression for the shielding factor S of a two-layer inductive shielding, extendible to an arbitrary number of layers. The experimental data, obtained from a reduced scale model, fitted this expression well. We demonstrated that multilayer inductive shielding offers better performance for a better price than a traditional monolayer shielding.
