Abstract

Cyclic voltammetry was used to determine the hydrogen diffusion coefficient in metal hydride electrodes with the alloy composition of MlNi 3.65Co 0.75Mn 0.4A1 0.2 (Ml=misch metal). It was found that the hydrogen diffusion coefficient increases with increasing depth of discharge (DOD) of the electrode. The probable reason for the DOD dependence of the hydrogen diffusion coefficient is also discussed.
