Abstract
Gaotaizi reservoir in Mid-east Block of Sazhong development area has entered the middle and late stage of reservoir development. Due to the limitation of reservoir and well pattern, many problems are exposed in the process of development with the extension of development time. Combined with the actual production data of Gaotaizi reservoir, this paper introduces a method to determine the reasonable well pattern based on injection–production strength, water flooding sweep efficiency, water flooding control degree, and oil production rate. Based on the oil production rate, recovery rate and water flooding control degree, the technical limit well spacing of different well patterns in the study area are demonstrated. In addition, the economic limit method of single well controlled reserves is used to calculate the economic limit well spacing under different crude oil prices. This paper provides a method to determine reasonable well pattern and well spacing, which can be applied to other oil fields with similar geological conditions. The research findings have important guiding significance and application value for the injection–production system adjustment of the oil fields in high water cut stage.
