Abstract

A new method for mineralisation of blood is proposed. A known volume of blood is combusted in an oxygen-filled flask which contains 1∶1 nitric acid as absorbent for the combustion products. The elements are determined by flame photometry and atomic absorption. The results are compared with results from wet digestion and dilution procedures.
