Abstract

Total photon mass attenuation coefficients of 7 fatty acids (lauric acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, myristic acid, castor oil, mustard oil) have been measured in the energy range 356–1116 keV. The experimental results are analysed in terms of total cross sections, effective atomic numbers and electron densities.
