Abstract

The dynamic load distributions applied to Kirchhoff plates are determined by inverse analysis in this article. The initial continuous problem is discretized by FEM based on Laplace transformation as regards the dynamic behavior. The strains calculated by vibration analysis are selected as known additional information in this inverse analysis. The Tikhonov regularization and L-curve method for choosing regularization parameters are exploited to deal with the ill-posedness of this problem. The time histories of load distributions are achieved by numerical inverse Laplace transformation based on FFT algorithm. The analyses of numerical experiments show fine accuracy and stability of the solutions derived from the present inverse methodology.
