Abstract

Abstract A solid phase extraction (SPE) technique for the isolation and HPLC-UV determination of the pesticide dinocap in apples, grapes and pears is described. Samples are extracted with acetone; the acetone extract is subjected to cleanup on both C-18 and silica SPE columns. The residues are determined using HPLC with a UV detector. The average recovery from crop samples spiked at tolerance, 0.1 ppm dinocap, was 85.9%.
