Abstract

Excavators with the active buckets are able to produce digging frozen, durable soils and hard rocks. The widespread introduction of active buckets is constrained by a number of reasons, including an incomplete theoretical description of the active bucket operation and the process of interaction of the active bucket with soil and rock. In this work, the absolute speed of movement of the cutting edge of the tooth, the cutting angle and the clearance angle of cutting are mathematically determined.
