Abstract

Atomic absorption spectrophotometry was utilized in the determination of copper and manganese in five different combination multiple-vitaminmineral tablets. The analysis of each tablet by direct determination was compared with analysis by the method of additions, and some small but statistically significant differences were noted. No molecular absorption was found in the analysis of manganese utilizing the nonresonance line of lead. The direct analysis of manganese and copper was simple and precise.
