Abstract

A liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) method was established for the simultaneous determination of carbamate and organophosphorus (OPPs) pesticides in fruits and vegetables by dispersive solid phase extraction using acetonitrile as the extractant and primary secondary amine (PSA) as the sorbent instead of octadecyl-bonded silica (ODS). Four common representative samples (tomato, apple, carrot, and cabbage) were selected from the supermarket to validate the method by recovery and precision. The obtained recoveries were, with a few exceptions, in the range of 80%–110% with RSDs less than 8%, and the limits of quantification ranged from 0.5 to 35 μg kg −1 in tomato. In addition, the method was applied to pesticide residue detection in vegetables and fruits bought from local markets.
