Abstract

Atomic absorption spectrophotometry was applied to the determination of small amounts of Aluminum in steel used nitrous oxide and acetylene flame.The results obtained was that the calibration curve was quite linear for 0.55 ppm aluminum in hydrochloric acid in the presense of 1% iron.When the method was employed to the analysis for experimentary samples (standard), the results was found to be satisfactory both accuracy and precision at least up to 0.005% aluminum.
