Abstract

In this paper we give a very general calorimetric method for the determination of the partial and integral enthalpies of formation for binary liquid mixtures. The principle is based on the recording, in terms of time, of heat flow emanating from the continuous injection of one liquid into another. The sensing device used is a Tian—Calvet microcalorimeter. We give as an example the results obtained at 298 and 303 K for the mixture n-propanol—water.
