Abstract

The bearing capacity of foundation soil can be obtained through various methods and means. Due to the heterogeneity of the soil, the bearing capacity values obtained by different methods vary greatly due to factors such as sampling disturbance, indoor testing, and on-site in-situ testing operations. This article is based on the study of the 16th plot of the Baiyun Airport Phase III resettlement area project site in the Guanghua Basin. The characteristic values of the bearing capacity of the main foundation soil of the plot were calculated, evaluated, and analyzed using indoor geotechnical tests and various on-site testing methods, The comprehensive recommended value of the foundation bearing capacity of this site has been obtained, and the foundation bearing capacity has been tested and verified. The results show that The characteristic values of the bearing capacity calculated by the standard penetration test (provincial standard) tend to be unsafe, and the geotechnical test is in a fluctuating state with a certain degree of dispersion; The characteristic values of bearing capacity calculated by standard penetration test (empirical formula) are slightly conservative; The lateral pressure test are relatively consistent with the measured ultimate bearing capacity; The foundation inspection results indicate that the bearing capacity value of the foundation soil bearing layer is within the safe range. This article compares various methods for determining the bearing capacity of foundation soil. Proposed characteristic values of bearing capacity of typical foundation soil (Comprehensive suggested value). It is relatively safe and reasonable, and has certain reference value for the selection of foundation for middle and low rise buildings in the region in the future.
