Abstract
The work presents the legal, social and economic aspects of the lease of agricultural land. The basic factors influencing the tendency to conclude lease contracts, the amount of rents and the economic and ecological effects resulting from the scale of leases in various voivodships were determined. The dependence between the scale of the lease and selected indicators in 2008, 2012 and 2016 was analyzed in detail. The study concerned the Mazovian, Kujavian-Pomerania Łodź and Greater Poland provinces.
