Abstract

Using the data of the Linked Personnel Panel 2014/15, we analyze the individual participation in further training with probit regression models. Our study corroborates the differences with respect to education and age revealed in related studies. Expected positive effects of a management position and autonomy of decision are also confirmed. Digitalization is seen as a relevant component within this context. Further analyses should focus on autonomy of decision and digitalization because these issues are novel topics. Whereas the average participation in further training of men and women does not differ considerably, there are relevant but not very strong gender differences.
