intriguing hypothesis that strengthening the more spastic muscle in an antagonist pair does not shorten its excursion, as was shown here, and may in fact increase it, although this was only a trend. Clinicians should be cautioned that some changes in response to strengthening programs such as measurable increases in muscle length or clinically significant changes in activity and participation may take far longer than 10 weeks for the accumulating benefits to be perceptible. In fact, I would go so far as to contend that maintaining strength in CP should not even be considered an intervention with a finite duration, but a lifestyle.
