Abstract

The transition amplitude ( i¦exp(-i Ht¦ i) is calculated as a reverse Laplace transformation of the resolvent ( i{| E- H −1}| i). The determinantal perturbation expansion of Baker and Sasakawa is used to give the poles and residues of the resolvent. The intersystem crossing rate is calculated between 1A″ and 3A″ states of gaseous propynal.
