Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify, study, analyze and describe several macroeconomic factors such as land area, investment, infrastructure, production amount, and inflation that affect the productivity of oil palm plantations in North Sumatra. The research method used is the Multiple Regression Method with Error Correction Model. This model is used to see the relationship in the short run with economic theory and in solving time series variables that are not stationary at levels and direct regression. From this analysis we will get the short-term regression equation towards the long-term balance. The type of data used is secondary data. The research findings show that land area, investment, infrastructure, total production and inflation simultaneously have a significant effect, whereas land area, investment, infrastructure, total production have a significant and positive effect, and inflation has a significant and negative effect on plantation productivity oil palm in the North Sumatra on a short-term and long-term balance. Keywords: land area, investment, infrastructure, total production, inflation, productivity
