Abstract

The study was conducted in the Research and Production Center Illpa UNA-Puno, Puno Region, at 3825 meters above sea level, to determine the evapotranspiration, calculate the crop coefficient (Kc), and the water use efficiency (WUE) for tuber production in the crop of oca (Oxalis tuberosa Mol.). The study was conducted during the 2011-2012 agricultural campaign, reaching to the following results: The oca crop evapotranspiration using the method of lysimeter Constant water level was calculated in 566.2 mm of water sheet, and according to data and weather information, reached higher values using the methods of Hargreaves in temperature function (589.8 mm) and Penman-Monteith (584.2 mm). Coefficients (Kc) for crop phenological stages of emergence, flowering and physiological maturity were 0.35; 1.56 and 0.72 respectively, averaging 0.88 for the agricultural campaign. Efficiency in the use of water (WUE) of the crop for the production of tubers was 7,3 kg/m3, attributable to the favorable factors present during the agricultural campaign
