Abstract

Objective To investigate the detection results of refractory mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP) in children,so as to recognize and treat the disease earlier. Methods Sixty-two cases of MPP admitted in our hospital from January 2012 to November 2012 were selected. They were divided into two groups,32 cases in ordinary MMP group and 30 cases in RMMP group. The diagnostic criteria of RMPP:the patient 's condition still deteriorates after treatment with macrolides for more than 7 days. The serum levels of C-reactive protein (CRP),procalcitonin (PCT),lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) were detedcted. Results The CRP level in the serum of the children with ordinary MPP and RMPP was (7.00 ±4.34) mg/L and (6.16 ±2.79) mg/L,respectively,there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05).The PCT level in the serum of the children with ordinary MPP and RMPP was (0.056 ±0.007) ng/L and (0.195 ±0.102) ng/L,respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).The LDH level in the serum of the children with ordinary MPP and RMPP was (261.50 ±36.92) IU/L and (389.96 ±81.81) IU/L,respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).Conclusions PCT,LDH is more sensitive than CRP in inflammatory response of RMMP. Key words: Refractory mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia; Procalcitonin; Lactate dehydrogenase
