Abstract

This paper presents the methods to detect the water seepages at Thu Thiem Tunnel including manual droplet counting method and infrared thermography method. It is found that the latter not only can spot all the seepages that has been detected using the former method but it also can identify new defects that the manual method cannnot reveal. The authors suggest that both methods to be used collectively in order to thoroughly identifly the water seepages in submerged tunnels.
