Abstract

Objective To study the deletion of the p53 gene in primary lung cancer and it's clinical significance.Methods Fourty-one surgical samples from patients with primary lung cancer were examined for p53 gene deletion by Dual-FISH technique in 2005 to 2008.Results p53 gene deletion was related to differentiation,age of onset (OR=18.775,95%CI2.437-144.636;OR=0.077,95%CI 0.007-0.874;P 0.05).Conclusions Detections of p53 gene deletion was related to differentiation of pathological grades,which might be a useful index in evaluating patients'prognosis.
