Abstract

Phage-coated piezoelectric membrane was introduced as biosensor platform for Bacillus Anthracis spores detection in water. The working principle of the membrane is based on resonant frequency shift due to the mass load of Bacillus Anthracis spores on the membrane surface from surrounding liquid. The resonant behaviors of membrane were characterized both in air and in water. And Bacillus Anthracis spores were demonstrated using a PVDF membrane in water.
