Abstract
This paper gives a point to detect transmission line broken stocks defect problems by using image processing and recognition technology, which has obtained the good effect in tests. By comparing with a set of template, the wire broken stocks defects can be extracted from the complex background identify. The method can be applied to power line inspection by helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) in a variety of ways.
