Abstract

The bad influence of pulse-type faults arising at control variable is analyzed for a controlled autoregressive (CAR) process. A fault-tolerant recursive algorithm is given for estimating coefficients of CAR process. Using this fault-tolerant estimator, two series of detection and identification algorithms are built One is for off-line detection and the other is for on-line detection. For step-type faults, a simple transformation is suggested which can transform step-type faults into pulse-type faults. Using this transformation, step-types faults can be dealt with algorithms built for pulse-type faults. Simulation results show that the algorithms stated above are efficient.
