Abstract
Compared with the single-crystal thin film, we propose theoretically that diffraction pattern of the polycrystal thin film is more suitable to be used for the detection of the vortex electron with superposed orbital angular momentum (OAM) states in the magnetic field. Because of the discernibility at the centimeter scale, it provides the capability to identify and demultiplex the vortex electrons with different superposed OAM states in the macroscale, rather than the traditional common-used macroscopic observation of the vortex electrons carrying OAM in nanoscale, which is supposed to be more cost-efficient and easier to be applied.
